As many of you probably already know I have been a charity runner for the American Cancer Society for the past 3 years. Many people whom I know and love deeply have been fighting this battle like by Grandma Bernice who passed away in 1969 and many of my dear friends, and I hope that my efforts have helped. This year, I have decided to shift my efforts to the American Heart Association. Both my Grandpa Bill and Grandpa Fab died of heart disease and my Grandma Dee is a survivor of coronary artery bypass surgery in 4 vessels which she had performed in the late 90's. She will turn 90 years old this July.
Heart disease is the number 1 killer in the United States!
