Another very funny thing that I have to talk about is the shoe. Why is it that after 6 years I do not have a shoe that I consistently choose? Well, at first it was Asics 2010's then the Asics Kayano, then they did some weird re-design and the shoe rubbed my ankle the wrong way so I had to switch. I've tried various Nike, Mizuno, Saucony, Under Armour, and Reebok. I've found many that have worked but I am always looking for something better. So the flavor this training season is this. It is the first time I've tried these but have not had problems with anything so far! So...maybe this is IT?
The Asics Speedstar.
Isn't it funny how women take such pride in shoes, well at least some women. I for one likely have more pairs of running shoes than I do any other combination of shoes! I'll share more at a later date with a little history...
So back to my title of the blog..."If the shoe fits, wear it". I guess it is suitable in many aspects of our lives. We need to accept what we are given. I wasn't given the lung capacity or legs to win marathons but I have enough of them to still run. Some things are blessings in disguise and we need to embrace what we can do and not dwell on what we can't do. This shoe fits me and I wear it every day!
Take Care until next time....
